The Hanson side we are trying to find out more about Emily Hanson and her early demise. She was the sister of my grandmother Sarah. When she died, her mother passed away within days. Both were buried at the same time. She supposedly died of pneumonia. She was hospitalized 4 times in the last 12 months before she died. She had "discoloration" on her chest (among other places) at the time of autopsy. She was admitted for being "feeble minded" On the report her grandmother was listed also as "feeble minded".
She died in Eldridge, site of the Sonoma State Hospital. Emily died November 1, in Eldridge and her mother, Christina died November 8, 1914. Their funeral was the same day and they are buried in Sunset View Cemetery.
The other is an O'Neill Curran connection with the family of Carrie Champness. We match as 2nd cousins through DNA. But there is no real connection in our trees. She has an extensive tree. The only common denominator is Merriam (Miram) Seale. Her family and the Currans are deeply connected. Two of her sisters married Currans. She had a baby in 1890 to a vague reference of a Mr. Brooks (who we can find no documents about.) He supposedly died in a train crash right after the birth of her son, Edward. She then married a Mr. Champness who became the child's step father. On their marriage record she is listed as M. Brooks. The Seales and Currans had a business together. Interesting how things link.
