After a summer off of ministries, I am now back in the swing of meetings and social events. Creative juices are flowing as we prepare for an upcoming Fall Rally at TOPS in Reno. Our group is doing the Adventures of Alice in Wonderland. Today we made a snowman basket to be raffled off, centerpieces for the two tables and decorations.
Last night I attended our Benedictine Oblate group meeting and we discussed what we are going to do and voted on finding a new support group that is closer with the time to mentor us and shared the contacts we made so far. It will be a discerning process.
Saturday is our Save the Holy Innocents group meeting. I purchased handouts for the tables at the Life event weekend at St. Teresa of Avila Church in Carson City.
I was going through boxes and came upon some old photos. Brought back sweet memories. I will share my finds below. One is of my father and I on vacation in Santa Cruz. It was a special day for a four year old girl with one year old twin brothers that took most of my parents time. Daddy took me on a walk down the pier and we shared shrimp out of a bag. I picked out the black yucky stuff before I ate mine. Then we took a picture together.
Next is a picture of my older brother Barney and me. I was 1 years old and he was 8. The next picture is of me and my ex at one of his company parties around 1968. Then there is a picture taken in July 1957 at my ex's grandparents, Frank and Margaret Casey LeDoux's 50th Wedding Anniversary followed by a picture of LeDoux siblings Larry, Clemmie, Marion and Maury. The next picture is my daughter Keri and me and the one after is of my two daughters, Sara and Keri when we went to Ireland in 1994.
