Yesterday, I met with my ex sister in law, Judi, for a late breakfast. Hadn't seen her in a very long time. It had been years. She will be moving to Sacramento and wanted to get together. We had a great visit, reminisced and caught up on our family news.
After our visit, I went to Lowes to check on refrigerators and windows. We need to buy a new refrigerator. It is making funny noises and the other day when I took the squash out of the vegetable bin, they were frozen. Think its time to buy a new one.
When I was recovering from shoulder surgery, I noticed cold air coming through our living room window on my neck. I realized then that we need to replace the large window in the living room. Never a dull moment for sure.
Today is the last day for voting in our primary election. Ron and I went at different times and early voted. That is such a convenience - wish more people would feel civic minded at election time. I think only 18 % voted early. They are expecting 25% turn out.
This will be a fun month. Friday the Red Hat Valley Chicks are going to Macaroni Grill in Reno for birthday lunch to celebrate my friend, Darleen's birthday. A few of us already celebrated with her at Christopher's in Carson City so she is having a fun birthday for sure.
After that my niece, Michelle is flying in and my daughter, Keri will pick me up from the luncheon and we will go to the airport to pick up Michelle. She is such a fun person, we will have a good time as we connect with Steve, Erica and Ruby. The next day will be a Bar-B- Que at Keri and Eric's home. They have added more lawn and beautiful planter pots with flowers to their front and back yards. Their yard is perfect for get-to-gethers.
Tonight, I will attend the installation dinner for our Women's Society at the CVI and tomorrow is the monthly luncheon for the Sierra Nevada Republican Women's club. My friend, Betty called to let me know she will save me a seat as I am always running late.
Later in the month, there is a first birthday party for a special little lady, Tinley. Looking forward to all the great times with wonderful people.
