These pictures were taken at our TOPS meeting today. We all dressed up and we like little kids again. You are never too old to have fun.
Visited the Sheriff's office today to meet the Duck Dynasty people. Daughter, Keri, is the duck on the left. So much fun.
Busy month ahead! There are so many events taking place this month and I will be starting two sessions of Landings Welcomes Returning Catholics. Five people have expressed a desire to explore the faith of their youth and learn more about what has happened since they left. We are also working on bringing this ministry to Our Lady of Tahoe if we can get enough people who are willing to give of their time and talents. October is the month of the Rosary and there will be many public rosaries taking place in our area and in Reno. I am working on updating various web pages and am finding glitches in the new format. If you see highlighted words in my script, please disregard as they are now infringing on personal writing to get people to explore other websites. It is irritating to say the least. I'll be checking in with pictures (if I can download them - those glitches mentioned above. Ugh. )
Brought Maggie, our dog, to church today to receive the blessing of animals. She was very good and interacted great even with the big dogs. I am proud of her. Our priest, Father Nathan, loves splashing animals and people with holy water. I got a good dose and blessing, too.
I love this time of year, the air is a little crisp and the trees are turning beautiful fall colors. I must go on my yearly trek to take pictures while the leaves are still on the trees. Did I ever mention, I love living here. It is the most beautiful place to be? The mountains are majestic, the sky is awesome especially in the early mornings and the evening when the sun sets. As you drive in the valley, you have many things to take in like sheep, cattle and buffalo and once in a while a donkey or a llama. Besides the beauty, people are friendly and smile a lot. I feel very blessed.
