Update on David: His sister, Lorraine visited him and he is now controlling his wheelchair and can move around. He met her in the day room and she fed him lunch. He will be going home in 12 days. Update news Bernie has purchased a new van to transport David when he gets out of the hospital. And the hospital hosted a day out for the patients to attend a ball game. Things are looking up. Please continue prayers for Dave and his family as he journeys into new territory on his recovery process. Thanks so much.

I was happy to go with my daughter, Keri, to Alameda CA to help with preparations for my niece, Michelle's wedding. We stayed at the Waterfront in Jack London Square and met many of her husband's family and other friends who came to help, too. We had fun at the nail shop where all the gals were getting mani-pedis and waxing. Our next adventure was going to the groom's parents home to decorate the candles and prepare flowers for the tables at the reception. Keri and the girls decorated all the tables on the morning of the wedding. Then they gathered to get their makeup on, hair done and dressed for the wedding. A shuttle took guests to the church while limos picked up the wedding party. I was privileged to particapate in the wedding by bringing up the gifts for the altar with Mike's Godmother and being an extra ordinary minister of the Eucharist during the Mass. It was a inspirational event to witness. The bridal party looked stunning. The bride was radiant, the groom showed his love, the priest gave a wonderful homily. One point Fr. George made that touched many present was that to make a marriage a success there are three things you should do daily. 1. Pray together. 2. Forgive each other and 3. Appreciate each other by telling the other person what you appreciate about them. He called it PFA. Good reminder to all who are married. The couple were married in St. Joseph Basilica, the church where they both received Holy Communion and Confirmation (the groom was also baptized there). BTW they reconnected after many years on Facebook. They had gone to the same high school. It meant so much to both of them to have their marriage in the same church and God worked it all out. I was only able to take a few pictures, but others have posted pictures too which are shared below. It was also wonderful to reconnect with all of my family present. It was great to sit with my older brother Barney and my sister, Mary. her granddaughter, Mia and Barney has been having trouble with his balance but he made it using his walker. Love my family so much. They mean the world to me - all of them present and not present.
