Thanks, Rita and Ron
Ron's son, David (California) was in a horrible accident April 18th and hospitalized. He was making progress but then the doctors had to do spinal surgery. He was doing good for a day, then his blood pressure went sky high and other complications and he became paralyzed. They were going to do more surgery for fluid on his spine, but now we got a call that he will be a C3 quadriplegic. He is aware of what is happening. Please pray for him and for a miracle. We really need prayer warriors. Pray for his wife, Bernie as they already have Joshua,14, who is special needs from birth. David has always assisted in Joshua's care. We are in disbelief right now, but hopeful for some good news. We get daily reports from the family. Thanks, Rita and Ron

I pulled a hamstring and haven't been able to walk much lately, so I have used the time to check on my genealogy projects. Ancestry.com has some new marriage documents from early 1800 hundreds through recent times. It has been fun browsing the files in the different books and discovering family members weddings. I especially love the docs that are from church weddings as they contain information on the bride and groom that might help fill in the blanks on parents and who were the witnesses at the marriage. More records are on the new pages Family Wedding Docs and Family Grave Markers.
Received a phone call from my Grandson, Joe Thornton, who is in the Airforce EOD training program. He had wonderful news to share. He has been accepted into the Airforce Academy Preparatory School in Colorado. He will start on July 13th. We are so proud of Joe and his accomplishments to date. Besides that he remembers to call his grandma frequently - bonus points for that!!!
April is here and it is Easter today. I wish everyone reading this post a blessed Easter. It has been a nice weekend. Saturday we celebrated with my daughter Keri and her husband Eric and family and friends. It was a beautiful day and we had a barbeque. The little ones who were with us had fun searching for eggs outside, opening baskets that grandmas (3 ) gave them. Food and company was great. It's the start of happy days. Today, Ron and I went to Mass. This afternoon we are watching Jesus of Nazareth the movie. We will have rack of lamb and veggies for dinner.
