Also have had positive news about our son, Dave and his progress since his accident. His neck collar has been removed and he is able to breath on his own for around 14 hours a day and has been introduced slipping water and ice and then other foods. He is so happy to be able to taste food again. He is still diagnosed as a quadriplegic but is getting movement in one arm and in the fingers of the other hand which is a good sign and hope for the future. They are getting their home ready for his homecoming by putting in a ramp, fixing the bathroom to accommodate his handicap, acquiring a bed lift and looking for a van that can carry his heavy wheel chair. We ask everyone to pray for his recovery and healing.
I have been working more on my family history lately and had found some interesting newspaper articles about my Great Grandfather Patrick O'Neill and my Grand Uncle Hugh Patrick O'Neill. I will post them below. Another person has contacted me because we have a DNA match as second cousins, but we can't find a common link, but she mentioned her great grandmother might have been married prior to her known marriage and that might be the ancestor that we are connected by. Sometime this genealogy is like being a detective . Also have had positive news about our son, Dave and his progress since his accident.
